The VTEI 90-Day Exchange Program
An intensive, three-phase program that takes veterans from training in the United States to hands-on deployment in South Africa — and back again.
How It Works
The VTEI 90-Day Exchange Model is a structured, veteran-led workforce development program that combines skilled trades training, international community service, and cross-cultural exchange. Participants gain industry-recognized skills, international experience, and a global professional network.

Phase One — Weeks 1–4
Train
United States
Veterans participate in an intensive three-to-four-week training program in the United States, receiving instruction in skilled trades, leadership, project planning, safety, and cross-cultural preparation.

Phase Two — Weeks 5–12
Deploy
South Africa
Participants travel to South Africa for approximately eight weeks where they work alongside South African veterans on community infrastructure projects while providing hands-on trade instruction.

Phase Three — Return Exchange
Exchange
United States
Selected South African veterans travel to the United States to receive advanced training, professional development, and exposure to American trade practices before returning home to strengthen their own communities.
